I generally appreciate the album by album move away from hardcore towards extreme metal. Yet for me personally, this is where the balance is perfect. Kind of like Metallica's Ride the Lightning: subsequent albums were more sophisticated and complex, yet less intense, too. Great to come back to, again and again. jornfin

Smell of Autumn has been a favorite track of mine since I first heard it a couple years ago. To me, it manages to express the same passionate flourishes in style, pace, and emotion that Gallowbraid hit with Ashen Eidolon but Underdark did it in less than half the time. It's the perfect BM song to fit into a playlist, even beside non-metal tracks. Love it! behrund
